Welcome to getmyliinks ("we", "us", or "our"). We operate the website getmyliinks.me (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide directly

• Account data: email address, username, display name and password (stored as a bcrypt hash).
• Profile data: biography text, profile picture, links (URLs, titles, descriptions, icons).
• Communications: any messages you send to our support address.

1.2 Information collected automatically

• Usage data: click counts per link, profile page views, browser type, referring URL, and approximate geographic region (derived from IP address). IP addresses are never stored persistently.
• Cookies & sessions: we use session cookies to keep you logged in and a short-lived cookie (intended_username) to carry your chosen username through the Google OAuth flow. No tracking cookies are placed on unauthenticated visitors.

1.3 Payment information

We use Stripe to process subscription payments. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe may collect and process payment data under their own Privacy Policy. We receive only a subscription status and a Stripe Customer ID.

1.4 Third-party sign-in (Google OAuth)

If you sign up or log in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google profile picture from Google. We do not have access to your Google password.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To operate, maintain and improve the Service.
• To display your public link page to visitors.
• To provide you with analytics about your own profile and links.
• To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe.
• To send transactional emails (e.g. account confirmation, password reset) – we do not send marketing emails without explicit consent.
• To detect and prevent abuse, fraud or violations of our Terms of Service.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics (via @next/third-parties) to understand aggregate traffic patterns on getmyliinks.me. Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Our own analytics dashboard shows you how many clicks and views your profile and links receive. This data is stored on our servers and is only visible to you.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only:

• With service providers: Stripe (payments), Google (OAuth & Analytics), and our cloud/database hosting provider, all under strict data-processing agreements.
• As required by law: if we are required to disclose information by court order or applicable law.
• With your consent: for any other purpose you authorise.

5. Public Profile Data

Your username, display name, biography, links and profile picture are publicly visible at getmyliinks.me/[username]. You control this content and can edit or delete it at any time from your dashboard.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing info@getmyliinks.me. Anonymised aggregate analytics may be retained indefinitely.

7. Data Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is 100 % secure.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Receive a portable copy of your data.
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
